Know Yourself First, Then Forget Yourself
Know yourself before evaluating others. There is a person who is very close and far away from oneself, very close and very close, easy to remember and easy to forget, this person is ourselves. Before we evaluate others, we must first learn to know ourselves. What qualifications do you have to label others if you don't even recognize yourself? When we know ourselves, we must learn to grow our eyes in our hearts and observe ourselves; we must grow our mouths in our hearts and comment on ourselves. I always think: Who is this person who is ready to evaluate others? Is he an expert in this field? If not, then it’s best not to talk about it and make people laugh; if it is, then it’s best to mention it pleasantly.
Wake up and give pointers to others instead of arrogantly teaching. Only in this way can your emotion and reason complement each other, will not cause trouble for yourself, and other people will not alienate you.
Forget yourself before accepting the evaluation. It’s a well-known truth that "full loss, humility benefits", but we don't really understand the benefits of humility. People who are humble and can accept other people's opinions are more popular and popular. This is only one aspect. More importantly, you can only accept more and better ideas and opinions if you empty out the inherent ideas and self-awareness in your head and lay down your mind.
It’s no wonder that we can see such a scene in many Zen koan: the Zen master kept pouring water into the teacup of the later school, and the later learner quickly said: “Enough is enough, it’s overflowing.” The Zen master was just in time. Mention them: "The same goes for studying Zen. If you don't throw away the ideas and thoughts inherent in your heart, I can't put in the subtle and profound Dharma!"
Know yourself before accepting the task. It is important for a person to have self-knowledge, and only with self-knowledge can one be able to weigh the deep and shallow. Although we should do our best no matter what we do, we must think of doing our best before doing it. Do everything within your means, so you won't be overwhelmed. Because no matter how wise a person is, there will be a "bottom line" in ability, and there will always be some omissions in the details. At this time, we must prepare in advance instead of starting lightly in blind self-confidence and being ridiculed in the end. These people are often used to being in good times, and slowly become arrogant and arrogant. They forget to ask themselves: Who is this person accepting the new task? Is he really capable of successfully completing this task? If not, should he give up? If so, what else does he need to pay attention to?
Forget yourself during the mission. Each of us has our own preferences and specialties, and we always hope to use our best skills in specific tasks. This is true, but this often brings a bad consequence, that is, frizz. , Always thinking about how to save trouble, how to take advantage of the loopholes. In fact, it is often more efficient to do things single-mindedly and without distracting thoughts. If we always jump out every time we do a little work and ask ourselves: Do I like this job? Then this job will never be completed.
